One night I had a dream  K/ G$ }! o; E! ?$ r
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.0 j1 V& ~/ z$ I$ `4 I) A
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.. S& E4 k4 \/ J
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
1 g0 x( R# b- ~* G. }; s7 B% Done belonging to me
( y/ i8 _# I# u: q0 Fand the other to my Lord." V  \. R/ |4 T1 s, d1 J+ g
When the last scene of my life shot before me, F6 X: ^- c( P' N8 L
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.4 U( ^4 o) J' `/ }3 Y$ i
There was only on set of footprints.' n) p! N" J* M6 u8 h
I realized that this was at the lowest
5 s$ b. h5 i+ T$ b1 G$ Vand saddest times in my life.& W0 N: W3 a$ O4 Q8 q" ?$ b
This always bothered me - v- d& V" k. Y' h7 A
and I questioned the Lord% y! c/ r/ K& [3 \0 S- i  v" ^
about my dilemma.2 V2 ^$ @3 o3 D
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,' P: O$ y* A, P. g
You would walk and talk with me all the way.9 S" K- {1 {* f: R* N- b
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ! M0 X+ c( b( Q
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.. C( q. e; [$ r& U
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
2 }! w/ Q  F7 vyou leave me."9 I8 E* A+ J- E- ?9 g
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,/ i  F: H/ T3 A5 s; S
I love you and will never leave you

It was then that I carried you."
