Lord,
9 t7 y! d& \2 X% e& ihaving transformed
& L7 D2 B( b- E7 fsunshine and soil and water and seed,7 O0 K. ? ?" H. J
into food upon which we are soon to feed, 9 p$ E8 ?, c; y. e4 e) ~; M+ |
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
$ Q* p6 Z/ Z+ Y L' R& nso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.7 F. h* A9 S; I) J5 ^+ D% a
We who came first and are ready to dine6 }$ ?& ?/ q4 z6 ^0 A( F. F; @
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, * D' Q9 p: P" }* ]9 p7 v$ E
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, : e) m/ R% v3 G; y s
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.

( o9 h, `2 H( @4 o. ythe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
7 h7 } k* d$ w* j, b: Ethe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted O1 u( O4 v% |8 C
