One night I had a dream
- C; U) u9 b& S, \' XI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
8 R% G' O0 Z8 f2 r4 E& J' GAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
: s4 R* G0 K& h  F1 \; mFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,1 i) g4 u' P: s! Q' }
one belonging to me
; A1 i* z9 R% b6 r4 I* f8 x8 H. fand the other to my Lord./ T+ D6 Z6 ~- |
When the last scene of my life shot before me
- G( R$ e7 w7 n" O$ l: C6 P7 EI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
8 X! q/ O" {, ~9 C3 c% LThere was only on set of footprints.
- C9 B, A  c$ m( JI realized that this was at the lowest
3 z. i7 j% F/ i9 S# h$ [and saddest times in my life., t" T4 @4 D! o' \! |& ]
This always bothered me
; e6 a6 M. m: N5 ~  t' \% I6 `; P- Zand I questioned the Lord  \- n. b9 N6 U6 R7 n6 {4 g2 |
about my dilemma.) D6 W  t* A( _/ ?1 |
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,7 w( I+ N3 ^+ j) [3 j! i9 m
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
) @( i2 o0 C& g! w0 \But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
4 |, R; K* \* E- b  `6 jtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
5 F1 u7 q1 m& f( C# ?I don't understand why, when I needed You most, # t- r2 S, u* V5 ^" Q$ u; |
you leave me.". U/ _% Z5 \7 u5 s9 o
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,& l' A& d: t1 C
I love you and will never leave you
