Footprints in the Sand

& R: y8 r  B  e9 T) y) BOne night I had a dream- I7 m" x( U( F. H% T' ~! Z
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
! \- a2 ^+ u' ^+ @) T: X) aAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
  {( N0 a* L; h" i& ~; \( x% kFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,7 b9 [  y6 ^8 J) d9 R
one belonging to me3 v' ^7 X: a) H* X' A
and the other to my Lord.
6 f  \1 j2 g0 P7 L$ V4 v* AWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
  v' Z1 S" ^- d1 x/ n1 WI looked back at the footprints in the sand.) v! s3 S, ~+ `" [3 I% V$ U
There was only on set of footprints.
! D3 j- ?! `7 \; MI realized that this was at the lowest
0 O, v0 i. n" gand saddest times in my life.
2 ]5 D/ U" U: v, l+ ZThis always bothered me # a8 a" T# f) O9 l. V
and I questioned the Lord
5 u) e7 c, Q5 L$ f& P! Mabout my dilemma.* J! z8 t' c$ u& P4 q1 a# o7 X7 |
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
" j3 ?- [; Z: x! E9 EYou would walk and talk with me all the way.0 I. w( O8 z; i7 w% b
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome " ]& h+ B0 {4 a9 e+ k) s" a& m
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
0 ]  [& V  v# C; E4 A- B" jI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
) O- u7 R! Z3 t% r6 b+ k& @you leave me."
7 x6 h" b" S6 lHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,6 S6 d6 e; b" H3 [# s: ^* I! Z* a
I love you and will never leave you
