Footprints in the Sand- e2 P3 L* t0 m7 ~1 Z2 z* i

% f! {7 c: S- d; ~7 O6 LOne night I had a dream
. E5 ^! @  O$ q. OI was walking along the beach with my Lord.& m3 ]2 \( j6 s4 l# h
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.2 U1 W: U0 j: z5 {9 u. i0 G6 K7 x
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,. S# p2 n1 V2 G) A3 X1 A
one belonging to me
$ c' }4 P6 n0 ?7 x+ m* eand the other to my Lord.9 Z6 Z6 L  M% ?& S
When the last scene of my life shot before me
7 b6 [% R1 R2 j2 f' j- n/ FI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
. {# i2 ^6 l1 N) L( B+ l6 rThere was only on set of footprints.
: w5 U7 ?( l9 I" _+ R/ VI realized that this was at the lowest
; F. \% ]( Y5 k. l7 g( v9 S' Nand saddest times in my life.
8 k* A5 S1 ]1 w, T$ P8 RThis always bothered me
- N" g* k$ a& x7 fand I questioned the Lord
& t$ O( f* s1 @4 Jabout my dilemma.
: Q# z+ s3 h2 x* O"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,, f/ A" S+ k: Y, P+ @
You would walk and talk with me all the way.4 U# X' t! |& V, a! }5 e" A
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ! _2 M* e) R% W; M: B6 e
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
# {/ U- a1 U8 l' I& e/ m' G9 xI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
% \+ W6 c8 Y9 c. K$ ^you leave me."
