6 N' t. F% e* ^! sOne night I had a dream
- v; ]0 y# S& W& @6 g$ oI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
# U( {% K$ k* [9 h: v# U( xAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
7 D  `3 t1 K! Q) t" d2 I2 o% g# @) xFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,: B$ {! I& G" r. H: M6 L" Q+ D
one belonging to me
8 E- T  c, [9 Mand the other to my Lord.
6 [7 ?1 C8 p( E3 zWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
4 Y( u$ N  i1 j/ H" a/ xI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
0 E# \+ T6 r3 ?7 `: qThere was only on set of footprints.
* J. F: I1 p6 w( bI realized that this was at the lowest 2 L; b7 D/ X# J- n4 o
and saddest times in my life.' Y8 k( Z4 L' L3 a- G) T
This always bothered me 7 l) E+ W' [/ w! N+ V9 u' D& g
and I questioned the Lord
" C& n+ F+ J8 [: ^7 |+ W, D. |about my dilemma.0 O7 @8 E" l- U' B( |
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,: P7 W' ?7 \9 i" e+ H
You would walk and talk with me all the way.7 x+ k4 K4 o) ^4 p9 y
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ' k; k! S" N  \; I1 D+ z) Q; w
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.2 n; _2 L3 J$ B6 \4 j/ Q* M
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
6 B: Q% I4 [$ M% r" J- Myou leave me."2 f2 A0 r$ |  [; ~
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,% J) s! |7 h4 u( x) k$ \

It was then that I carried you."
