One night I had a dream
; S+ L/ T& D7 x; I1 S' @" i# lI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
1 m0 |0 [4 x5 n; v$ T( pAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
% N' Q- U6 w$ ~( O; S$ U) B4 iFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
. o4 ]4 _0 F) V5 a, P- Cone belonging to me" h2 W  B4 T, R; C
and the other to my Lord.
9 z, k! S3 `! v' S7 \+ b7 [, TWhen the last scene of my life shot before me+ t7 e2 J) U; ?" l9 I2 c
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.$ I& o4 m2 x- a
There was only on set of footprints.
5 `; V3 ?. l4 \; z9 jI realized that this was at the lowest
, D+ |1 g  h- w: m, d9 T( Cand saddest times in my life.! M* ^. |4 v5 g3 P
This always bothered me
* e" P& C) f' a# e8 m; p) n3 jand I questioned the Lord! e+ L' G; z% V% i
about my dilemma.1 o, O( z+ |; P. {8 q+ k1 Q5 |
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
2 q% A, x8 ?- `; ]& I9 ~You would walk and talk with me all the way.
( p; R2 @* Y  A- KBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome " j3 j) x% h7 |4 g& A7 I2 R
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.( H" g+ I  p: @+ g5 g& b9 l) r
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
# l) w4 |  ]+ n) A9 @; c2 S, J8 Dyou leave me."

When you saw only one set of footprints
